Established in 1996 at Puthuparamba in Edarikode Panchayath, Malappuram District, the KEL Edarikode Unit is strategically located:

5 km from Kottakkal Town
20 km from Calicut International Airport
17 km from Tirur Railway Station
To meet the rising demand for Dry Type Cast Resin Transformers (CRT), a state-of-the-art, semi-automated manufacturing and testing facility was set up and inaugurated in 2015. With a plant area of 1,350 sq. m and an annual production capacity of 300 MVA, the unit is equipped to deliver world-class transformers with excellent quality and prompt delivery.

In addition to CRT manufacturing, the unit operates a 1,200 sq. m plant dedicated to the production of:

  • Oil Cooled Transformers
  • LT Porcelain Fuse Units
  • Automatic Street Light Controllers (ASLC)
  • LT Distribution Boxes (LTDB)

Every product undergoes stringent quality checks to uphold the trust and reputation KEL has built over the years.

The unit also undertakes electromechanical works, mini-mast and high-mast installations, and serves as a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) for various projects.
